K so i need to try harder to keep this thing up. I totally skipped christmas and I wish I would have posted some pics. Especially since it was our first Christmas Eve on our own. The weather was bad and i had to work late so we did our own thing. A lot has happened since my last post. Nate has passed all four of his CPA exams so way to go NATE!!! He is well on his way to becoming a CPA! We went to California with all of the Houston clan and went to Disneyland. We had to cut our stay short seeing as we couldn't get work off. We celebrated my birthday for the first 20 days in January until the actual day. Nate gave me a gift some small some large every day! It was awesome, he is so thoughtful. On the actual day he gave me a sewing machine, which i have put right to work. I am making a baby quilt that i started almost 6 years ago when my first nephew was born. So your thinking why am I working on it now, but no i am not pregnant. I have really enjoyed practicing my sewing skills especially right now while Nate's work is extremely busy and mine is cutting hours yikes! Our final great news is that i got in to pharmacy school. That's pretty exciting. Thats all for now my goal really is to post more so I can keep this as a journal! I will be putting up new pics soon.

Halloween and pumpkin bread

So I really don't keep up very well on my blog. But i have been more crafty in the past three weeks than ever before. I made lots of stuff but by far my best was our Halloween Costumes. We were getting ready to go to Nate's work party and he really wanted to be what whit and chad were last year so i gathered my needle and thread and heat tape and went to work. I don't have a sewing machine so i had to hand sew around parts of the costumes so that they won't fall apart. Anyways we didn't end up going to the party, we didn't even wear them on halloween so i spent a lot of time for costumes we can wear in the future, that is if we don't grow at all :)

I also made pumpkin bread, and i have been working on our scrapbook and i am now in the young womens so i have been trying to do lots of hand outs it has been nice to be busy. But now i have a job as a pharmacy tech at a CVS right by our house! Thats life so far. pretty plain, i miss the fall time in cedar city, it hasn't cooled off too much here and we were in panguitch this weekend and it was raining and i really got home sick for the fall weather. Nate is still working hard to pass his CPA so when he isn't working he needs to study but he does a pretty good job of sharing some of that time with me:) he even made us a candle lit dinner the other night it was really nice to come home to.I have a goal of taking more pictures so i am trying harder. oh yeah i also carved my pumpkin one night when nate was working so.... thats life here in las vegas :)

THE PUMPKIN PATCH!!!

Well this week was sort of like a weekend for Nate and I. Nate had to go to SUU for some recruiting stuff for work, so i got to tag along and go see my family. It was a lot of fun. We spent two days in Cedar and loved it. Nate had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new potential co workers! He got to go to dinner at Milt's with all of his old professors, and brag to them about how well they prepared him for some of the cpa exam! While he was at dinner, I got to go to the pumpkin patch, for the first time ever!!! I went with my parents, and my sister's family, it was a great time! It was mostly picked over, but i found a few pumpkins to take back to las vegas! We made a haul, at 15 cents a pound, i think we each spent at least five dollars, it was awesome!!!

The pumpkin patch is located in good ol' Paragonah, Utah, a short drive for a fantastic time!! On the way home, we took the back roads, and saw many herds of deer, which it is almost time for the deer hunt in Utah, sadly we saw none with horns, but Brennan and Braxton loved it. I couldn't get very many pictures of them, i guess it just wasn't their day for pictures.

Thanks to my family, I now have a few pumpkins to carve, which i am very excited about, and Nate is working on the getting excited part. Soon enough, he will be :)!  We had to come back to Las Vegas for Nate to work on friday, and we had to miss out on both of our families fun-filled harvest holiday events. My family went four-wheeling (I missed out big time) and Nate's family had a picnic at the lake. Oh well, we ended up having a good relaxing (lazy) weekend in Las Vegas, hanging out with each other. We both got callings in our new ward, so it will keep us involved in our ward, we are both working with the youth, it will be a great experience for both of us!!

My First Official Blog Post.... OH man

Ok I am extremely new at this :) Nate and I have been married for almost 10 months, man time flies, i would like to still consider us newly weds but we are moving closer closer to one year. Anyways,  we recently moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, Viva Las Vegas. We love it so far. Our apartment is in an excellent location close to Nates work, it only takes him between 15 and 30 min to get to work. The neighborhoods around us looks wonderful and our little apartment complex is pretty nice, of course there are some sketchy things that make me a little nervous, but what can I say, I am little girl stepping into a big big city and calling it home for the first time in my life. I love it. I love the shopping in fact thats what I live for it keeps me sane. I try not to spend every day, and I have really enjoyed shopping for gifts..... if it weren't for the shopping i might have gone insane. When we first got here, Nate and I got to hang out a lot, neither of us were employed and all he had to do was study for his third section of the CPA!!! Thats right he has already taken two sections and passed with extremely high scores, I am super proud of him and love to brag about him. He is doing awesome in his chosen career!!! So anyways we hung out all the time and now that he has joined 'real life' and started working i am adjusting to the time i get to hang out with myself now, oh yeah i am also looking for a job. Which stinks but has got to be done! here are some pics of our new apartment, i love it. decorating is coming along thanks to ideas from my mom, i definately wish i was more artistic but the decorations really make it feel like a home. We love it here!
